Main BodyThis exhibition at Cambridge Galleries Design at Riverside features products and collections by 10 established Canadian textile designer-entrepreneurs whose work bridges the worlds of art and commercial fabrication. The focus is on design referred to as “limited” or “studio production” works – meaning that they incorporate manufacturing processes and technologies, but are produced in limited quantities rather than mass-produced. Designers and studios include Bev Hisey Design, FELT Studio, Joy Walker Design, Lily Yung, Monique Beauregard SERI+, LoooLo Textiles, Laura Friedland Design, ArchiTextile Lab, Armstrong Fox Textiles, and Institute of Everyday Life.

ScheduleThe opening reception takes place on Saturday, September 11 at 2:00pm. This is a joint opening reception with the juried exhibition entitled FibreWorks 2010 at Cambridge Galleries, Queen's Square, and the KNIT CamBridge installation project at the Main Street Bridge in Galt. An Art-Bus shuttles passengers between Toronto and Cambridge.
