12th Annual Best of Canada Design Competition

The 12th annual Best of Canada Design Awards took place, Friday September 25th on the Keynote Stage at IIDEX/NeoCon. Over 140 people were in attendance to watch and hear the big reveal of the twenty winners from eight design categories. Mr. Frank Delfino, President, World Markets, Teknion, presented an interesting perspective on the trends and outlook for Canadian design in the year ahead. Then, emcee, Glen Baxter host of CTV's IN FASHION along with the sponsoring dignitaries from Teknion, Steelcase and Inscape announced the winners. Judging from the crowd's reaction, there were a few surprises, however, all of the work reviewed and received from the nominees was a testament to the quality of Canadian design. The winning firms received a 9 pound crystal prism etched with the winning category and their company name. The winners are listed below. The celebration continued with guests enjoying hors d'oeuvres, networking and good cheer.
