Main BodyThis exhibition assembles recent urban research and speculative design work by the experimental Canadian architectural practice RVTR. Infra-Eco-Logi Urbanism undertakes a study of the Great Lakes Megaregion through geographic, statistical and cartographic analysis and proposes a rethinking of infrastructural systems in light of new mobility, renewable energy and urban growth. Set within this context of transformation the work projects possible urban and architectural futures that envision new public domains.
Additional InfoFounded by Geoffrey Thün, Kathy Velikov and Colin Ripley in 2007, RVTR operates simultaneously as a professional architectural practice and an academic research platform with studios in Toronto, Canada and Ann Arbor, Michigan. RVTR applies a complex systems-based approach to position design as an active agent in the continually evolving ecologies of the built environment and within cultural and political systems.
