New York-based design firm Trove, known for its wallcoverings, is starting off 2013 with a bang, winning a 2012 GOOD DESIGN Award with its Vivid Collection for KnollTextiles. GOOD DESIGN is the world's oldest Design Awards program, organized by The Chicago Athenaeum Museum of Architecture and Design with the European Centre for Architecture, Art, Design and Urban Studies. Covering consumer products from across the globe, the awards were created in 1950 by prominent architects Eero Saarinen, Edgar Kaufmann, Jr., and Charles and Ray Eames. Past GOOD DESIGN winners include 3M, Apple, Starbucks, and Coca Cola.

"We're so thrilled to be included in such an esteemed awards program," remarked Trove's Randall Buck. "The Good Design Awards are known worldwide for their focus on high design and innovation, and we're honored that the Vivid Collection spoke to them."

Trove's Vivid Collection for KnollTextiles is a delicate and dynamic study of colour and movement. Commissioned by Dorothy Cosonas, Creative Director of KnollTextiles, this collaboration includes three richly coloured patterns: Swerve, Sway, and Swoosh. These designs bend colour so that it flares and lingers, capturing a range of vivid hues.

Trove has won several awards, including two Good Design awards, two Editor's Choice Awards for ICFF, and an Architectural Products Product Innovation award. Two Trove Patterns have been acquired for the permanent collection at the Cooper Hewitt National Design Museum and three Trove patterns were featured in the 2010 Triennial exhibit. www.troveline.com
