The Greenguard Environmental Institute recently awarded Quebec furniture company Groupe Lacasse two certifications. Groupe Lacasse’s freestanding laminate case goods, steel storage and filing, educational furniture and the Nvision workplace system received a Greenguard Indoor Air Quality Certification. The freestanding case goods, along with steel storage and filing, also received the Greenguard Children & Schools Certification.
These products under the Lacasse, Avenue and Nvision brands have passed a series of demanding tests required by the GEI and have been confirmed as low-emitting furniture that will not affect indoor air quality.
“Groupe Lacasse is proud to receive these certifications, as it reflects our ongoing commitment to creating healthy workplace environments,” says Jean Desforges, vice president of marketing and product development. “Groupe Lacasse will continue to participate in Greenguard certification programs by paying attention to rigorous environmental standards when designing and manufacturing new and existing products.”
