Crativit Montral Awards Reveals 2nd Edition Grand Prix recipients

A true benchmark in the field, the prestigious Crativit Montral Interior Design competition has unveiled its grand prize winners for the second annual awards. The awards recognize retailers for outstanding interior design achievement in their establishments and spotlight designers talents.

In addition, this year saw the introduction of two new categories to recognize the top designs in the categories of office and chains, brands, and franchises.

The quality of Montreals commercial designs really stands out. Store owners have truly grasped how design contributes to the success of their businesses, and designers are showing real creativity in coming up with functional, groundbreaking environments for any budget. With the Crativit Montral Awards, we hope to let more people know just how much talent Quebec has in this field, said Sylvie Berkowicz, Director of the Crativit Montral Awards.

The Grands Prix Awards

This year, eleven Grand Prix awards and one Prix Spcial award were given out to Montreal businesses and store owners and to their designers and architects for the quality of their commercial designs.

Awards were distributed according to business categoryLe Vauvert (restaurants); Quattro D (cafs); Comptoir dailleurs (shops over 1,500 sq. ft); Itsi Bitsi (shops under 1,500 sq. ft); Alfred Dallaire Memoria (new categorychains, brands, and franchises over 1,500 sq. ft); Avril supermarch sant (businesses outside Montreal designed by a Quebec agency); Cube AdidasFinish Line (businesses outside Canada designed by a Quebec agency); Nolin BBDO Montral and Bos (tied in the new category of offices over 10,000 sq. ft); Orangetango and Sid Lee (tied in the new category of offices under 10,000 sq. ft); and the Bos agency (Prix Spcial).
