Kartell opens new shop-in-shop in Vancouver
Kartell, a leader in design, is pleased to announce the newest shop-in-shop location at Livingspace, one of Vancouvers most prestigious retailers of contemporary design. Opening on November 15, 2007, the new 450-square foot Kartell boutique will be located in the Mount Pleasant area named Uptown. The new space will also accommodate a wider selection of Kartells continually expanding line of striking, innovative and functional products.
Designed by Ferruccio Laviani, the new space highlights the originality and sophistication of the Kartell brand by featuring a fresh, open floor plan, which allows customers to take in the entire collection in one, panoramic view. The alternation of spaces and colors makes the layout dynamic and lively, expressing Kartells glamorous and unconventional spirit.
The new shop-in-shop will feature the latest additions to the Kartell line including the lighting piece Toobe, designed by Ferruccio Laviani; Spoon Chair, a new avantgarde object designed by Antonio Citterio; the opulent textured Mademoiselle Cocco and elegant Mademoiselle Dolce & Gabbana, both designed by Philippe Starck; Stone, a jewel-like stool designed by Marcel Wanders; and Top Top, a glamorous dining table designed by Philippe Stark, all of these introduced in 2007.
Vancouver is quickly becoming an extremely important and receptive market for Kartell, says Paolo Cravedi, managing director of Kartell US. Vancouver is the right city for our new shop-in-shop because of its positive, dynamic energy and designer concentration that fits perfectly with Kartell.
The opening of the Shop in Shop in Vancouver launches a series of new Kartell store openings planned for North America this year and next. Livingspace is located at 188 Kingsway (corner of Kingsway and Broadway) in Vancouver.
