Teknion in Boston
Teknion Corporation recently announced the opening of a new showroom in Boston located on the fourth floor at 263 Summer Street in a historic section of town close to the financial district.
“We opened a showroom on Summer Street three years ago, and it resonated so well with Boston’s A & D community that we soon outgrew the space,” says David Feldberg, President and CEO. “Our new 6,000-square-foot showroom is the perfect venue to showcase our growing, award-winning product portfolio and to demonstrate the innovative and integrated approach to design that Teknion is known for.”
Designed by The Baker Design Group in collaboration with Teknion’s in-house facilities team, the showroom incorporates inherent features of the older building, such as exposed brick faces and 20-foot ceilings with corresponding 16-foot-high windows that allow lots of natural daylight. Chic, yet timeless, clean, yet progressively elegant, the space was designed to be environmentally friendly by incorporating many of the requirements to support LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design). The Boston showroom has also been registered for certification through the USGBC (United States Green Building Council).
The new Summer Street showroom is also home to Teknion’s latest new product introductions District furniture system, Marketplace worktable and Optos full-height glass wall. In addition, Transit and Leverage panel systems, the ie freestanding system, Altos architectural wall product, Expansion Desking system, Origami and other wood casegoods, Modular Cabinets and an extensive array of Teknion seating are also on hand.
