Happy Hour at Designers Walk
On December 9, Designers Walk hosted its first ever Holiday Happy Hour, a party for Toronto’s design and architecture community. This festive event offered partygoers a chance to mingle and network with the faces behind designer brands available at Designers Walk showroom and the Resource Centre – a 10,000-square-foot venue with display vignettes featuring more than 100 companies. The Resource Centre is also the new home of Canadian Interiors’ 2008 Best of Canada awards. A special room houses displays of award-winning works. They can be viewed Monday to Friday, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.The party, attended by over 300 industry professionals, was sponsored by G.E. Monogram. Designers Walk collected a mountain of toys from generous attendees for the Starlight Starbright Children’s Foundation, which was also on hand at the event – selling its trademark Teddy Bears, from which all proceeds go to terminally ill children in Canada.
