INVISTA, makers of Antron carpet fiber, announced today the call for entries for the 9th Antron Carpet Fiber Product Innovation Award. The deadline for entries is May 15, 2009.
The Product Innovation Award honors carpet mills whose products excel in style, aesthetics, color and usage in the marketplace. The entries for this award will be judged on creativity, design and originality, as well as the techniques used for the carpet’s design. This year, the awards ceremony will be held during NeoCon, and visitors to the Antron brand showroom (Chicago Merchandise Mart, Space 10-111) will have a chance to vote for a People’s Choice award among the winning styles.
“The Product Innovation award is an excellent opportunity to recognize outstanding carpet styling from mills,” said Bobby Berrier, vice president for INVISTA commercial interiors. “We are excited to bring this award to NeoCon this year so that we can showcase the winning styles to NeoCon visitors in our showroom.”
Judges for the Antron Product Innovation Award competition will be: Kyle Barnes, research specialist, Walt Disney Imagineering; Susan DiMotta, principal, Perkins Eastman; Lori Kolthof, director of resources, FRCH Worldwide; Jaime Velez, principal, SOM; Melissa Yu, director of interior services, Page Southerland Page.
