After A Fashion
While studying at the Parsons School of Design in New York, kindred spirits Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez came together to form Proenza Schouler, a fashion firm taking its name from the combination of their mothers’ maiden names. While they were still in school, their senior collection was bought by the prestigious Barneys New York. Stores around the globe followed. Six years later, they lead the way in a new generation of American design.
Reimagining their work in fashion for the modern interior, McCollough and Hernandez have created six upholstery fabrics for Knoll Luxe, characterized by a mix of strong colour balanced by clean neutrals and novel textures. The Proenza Schouler collection is meant to embody the concept of “nonchalant luxury.”
