Teknion Announces Executive Changes
Teknion Corporation has announced that Frank Delfino, President, World Markets, will retire from his current position with the company effective May 1, 2011. Delfino, who joined Teknion Furniture Systems in March of 1995 as EVP & COO, will be appointed as Chief Strategic Officer and special advisor to David Feldberg, President and CEO of Teknion Corporation, and also pursue independent business ventures.
In his new role Delfino will focus primarily on maintaining and developing Teknion’s key client relationships and helping to evolve the company’s long-term strategy, especially in the area of acquisitions and joint ventures. In addition, Delfino will facilitate the smooth transition of his current role.
In announcing Delfino’s retirement plans, Feldberg commented, “Over the past 15 years Frank Delfino has been a key member of Teknion’s Executive Team and has led with intensity, intelligence, vision and a passionate commitment to our clients, the design community and the market. Frank’s contributions to our success extend throughout Teknion Corporation. He played an instrumental role in product development and our worldwide expansion. I look forward to our continued collaboration for many years to come.”
Concurrent with Delfino’s departure from his current position, Teknion will be reorganizing its worldwide sales structure. The company announces the following appointments.
Scott Deugo, who holds the position of Senior Vice President, Design, Marketing and Sustainable Development, will be appointed to the position of Senior Vice President, North American Markets effective May 1, 2011. In his new role Mr. Deugo will be responsible for North American sales. In addition, Deugo will maintain responsibility for the company’s worldwide sustainability initiatives.
Deugo has a long track record of achievement in the office furniture industry. He joined Teknion in 2000 as Vice President and General Manager of Teknion’s filing and storage manufacturing division – and since that time has held a number of varied positions. Mr. Feldberg remarked, “Scott has become a great asset to our team and I look forward to working with him as we broaden our customer base and continue to grow our North American sales.”
Effective May 1, 2011, and as part of the transition, Teknion’s International Sales will report directly to Feldberg.
Also effective May 1, 2011, Joe Regan will be appointed to the position of Senior Vice President, Design and Corporate Marketing. Regan will report to David Feldberg and will serve as member of Teknion’s Executive Committee.
Mr. Regan joined Teknion in September 2001 as Director, Business Process Improvement. He held that position until December 2004, at which time he was promoted to Vice President and General Manager of StampTek – Teknion’s metal fabrication division. In September of 2008 Mr. Regan’s scope of responsibility was increased to include Tekwood – Teknion’s wood division.
Feldberg said, “Joe will be a strong addition to the Executive Committee and his breadth of manufacturing experience will allow him to make a significant impact in our product design and development initiatives.”
