PUR fun
This holiday season, all eyes will be on Hotel PUR in the heart of Quebec City’s revitalized Saint-Roch neighbourhood. Dec. 9 was the opening date of Fantasmagorie, an outstanding architectural project in which a sound/light show is projected from Hotel PUR onto the facade of the Saint-Roch Church. The show was organized in collaboration with Hotel PUR, the City and Robert Lepage’s Ex Machina, and will take place on selective dates throughout the month of December. It is an event not to be missed.
Since opening in 2008, Hotel PUR has distinguished itself with its continued participation and commitment to the growth of the Saint-Roch neighbourhood. “We are very proud to have joined forces with the city to present this bold and colorful show, which further underlines Saint-Roch’s prime position in the roster of important events in the city,” says Vincent Dufresne, General director of Hotel PUR. “This neighbourhood really is the hub of cultural activity in Quebec City,”
Fantasmagorie offers visitors an ideal opportunity to discover Hotel PUR. The hotel’s floor-to-ceiling windows offers guests prime front row seats to this unique show, while enjoying the comforts of their stylish room. The 30-minute light show is a holiday-themed fantasy voyage which required a high level of technology including six projectors from The Image Mill. The show will be featured Dec. 9-12, 16-19 and 26-31 in 30-minute increments between 7 and 9 p.m.
Hotel PUR is offering several different accommodation packages: Third Night Free package; PUR Nightlife, in association with the Maurice Nightclub; and PUR Carnival, in honour of the Quebec Carnival, the world’s greatest winter party.
