Hail, Victoria
The Association of Registered Interior Designers of Ontario (ARIDO) announced the induction of Victoria Horobin of KBH Interior Design, Toronto into its prestigious Fellow awards program; the induction was part of the Association’s Annual General Meeting on Mar. 31. Fellow Membership is one of the highest honours ARIDO can bestow on an individual and Horobin’s receipt of this award recognizes her outstanding contributions to the interior design community and to the Association.
Horobin’s involvement with ARIDO spans over two decades, during which time she has chaired numerous committees, served on the Board of Management and been President of the organization. Her work with National Council for Interior Design Qualification (NCIDQ) – serving as member of the Grading Coordinators Committee, the Interior Design Experience Program (IDEP) Task Force, the Policies & Procedures Committee, the Nominations Committee, the Certification Task Force, the Definition of Interior Design Task Force and the Jury Team Leader Committee – has furthermore given her an exceptional understanding of the issues facing the interior design industry.
Through her work on the ARIDO Education Committee and her active involvement with NCIDQ, both as a delegate for ARIDO as well as an independent, Victoria has been committed to the continuing validity of the North American testing for interior design qualification. “Maintaining the highest standards of qualification is of great importance,” affirms Horobin. “The strength of this industry hinges on the skill of its practitioners.” Truly dedicated to the growth of the profession, Horobin remains involved as a member of the NCIDQ board as well as representative on the Ontario Realty Corporation (ORC) Committee.
ARIDO applauds Horobin’s exceptional contributions to the profession and congratulates her on the receipt of fellowship.
