Seven Canadians win awards in 2011 NKBA Design Competition

The National Kitchen & Bath Association (NKBA) has announced the finalists in the 2011 NKBA Design Competition, honoring the best kitchen and bath designs of the year.

Sponsored by GE Monogram, HGTVPro.com, Kohler, ServiceMagic, This Old House, and Waypoint Living Spaces, the 2011 competition honors the top three designs in each of nine categories, as well as special Best-Of award winners, from the nearly 500 entries received. Winning designs were announced at the Design Competition Awards event on Tuesday, April 26, 2011 during the NKBA’s Kitchen & Bath Industry Show (KBIS) at the Las Vegas Convention Center.

Ines Hanl of The Sky is the Limit Design in Victoria, B.C. won an award for Best Sustainable Bathroom (sponsored by Kohler), as well as second place in the Powder Room category. In total, seven Canadian designers picked up awards in eight categories (the full list is below).

“The National Kitchen & Bath Association is proud to offer NKBA designers the opportunity to have their best kitchen and bathroom designs from the past year acknowledged for their excellence,” said 2011 NKBA President and Certified Master Kitchen & Bath Designer, David Alderman. “The designs selected, represent the finest in function, personalization, innovative- thinking, and beauty.”
