How I wish it would rain
On Tuesday, April 3rd, Fulton Umbrellas transformed the Neubacher Shor Contemporary Gallery in Toronto’s Parkdale neighbourhood into a riot of new rain protection styles by unfolding their S/S 2012 Collection. Fulton Umbrellas carry the unique status of being the official umbrella of the Royal Family, with a Royal Warrant to Her Majesty The Queen of England.
Artfully designed in the U.K. for men, women and children, Fulton Umbrellas are statement pieces in vivid colours and patterns, defined by their attention to detail and design. Fulton has partnered with designers such as Lulu Guinness, Orla Kiely, Ella Doran and other U.K. designers and often take their design cues from runway fashions and trends in interior design fabrics.
The event was hosted by Richard Igra, a third generation umbrella maker and president of Fulton Umbrellas Canada. Established in 1956 by Arnold Fulton, Fulton Umbrellas were the first to commercialize folding and automatic models in the 1960s.
