Now in stock at New York–based Areaware is a collection called Driftwood Wall Hooks, designed by Kiel Mead. The designer scours the shores of New York state for beached driftwood. After a thorough process of bleaching and staining, the seasoned wood discovers new life – as a helpful hook.
Available in red, orange, yellow, green, blue, navy blue, pink, natural, gray, and black, no two are alike. Shades vary slightly, and sizes will vary between 7 and 12 inches.
