Good-to-go Graff
Graff, the Milwaukee-based manufacturer of precision engineered contemporary faucets and fixtures, will be making its inaugural exhibit at this year’s Interior Design Show, taking place at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre, Jan. 24-27.
Known worldwide for its exquisitely-engineered and highly designed faucets and shower fixtures, Graff has upped the ante on contemporary bath fixtures with the introduction of three collections that are each out-of-this-world beautiful and destined to become signature products for Graff.
Ametis
Designed by Davide Oppizzi of DCUBE, the Ametis faucet from Graff is a symbol of the fusion between the universe above and the oceans below; a futuristic ode to high design in the bathroom. Surrounding the joystick control lever is a color ring that morphs from red to blue indicating changes from hot to cold water and vice versa. Fluid and sensuous, Ametis guides the water through the gentle curves of the faucet, providing a visual representation of the idea that life is a cycle. The faucet design is offered in a chrome, white or powder-coated matte black finish. Its unexpected shape seems so beautifully simple; the continuous line of the shower column never stops, the solid shapes and dynamic elements meld together harmonically. The column includes an integrated chromatherapy system with RGB LED lighting within the ring, which provides a colorful lighting choice and gives a completely new dimension to the shower experience. Along with four spray options, Ametis is a contemporary marvel.
Aqua-Sense
The Aqua-Sense shower system by Graff is a full sensory and completely modern experience. Custom combinations of light, sound and water are made possible with the fixture’s digital technologies. The electronic system with ceiling-mounted showerhead creates an intense central rainfall, features an RGB LED color-changing effect controlled by touch screen and a USB port with speakers that connect to portable music players. Other system options include the wall-mounted waterfall showerhead and the wall-mounted cascade and rainfall with RGB LED showerhead that includes a concealed LED light system offering soothing therapeutic effects.
Sento
Sento, which means “I feel” in Italian, stays true to its namesake with its minimal yet sensual design unencumbered by decorative elements. From the lavatory single lever mixer to the widespread faucet, Sento’s personality is defined by effectiveness of function and clean, simple lines that result in a strong visual impact. “Lightness and strength,” maintain the designers, Daniele Ruzza and Silvana Angeletti were the inspiring principles of the Sento series, which transforms the object into a most elegant presence in the bath space. The designers are known for designing objects that are stripped down to their essentials. With Sento, they have created a bath collection that expands their philosophy of creating pure and harmonious shapes with expressive strength. Initially available only as a widespread, Sento is now a fully formed collection: widespread, single hole, wall-mount, thermostatic shower, floor-mounted vessel and tub filler are all available in polished chrome or satin nickel.
