Teknion in Texas
Teknion Corporation has officially been awarded the architectural wall contract at ExxonMobil’s new campus currently under construction near Houston. The campus will house 10,000 employees and is located in north Houston.
“This contract represents not only one of the largest architectural wall installations for Teknion, but one of the largest in the contract furniture industry,” say Maxine Mann, president of Teknion’s U.S. operations. “In today’s highly competitive market we are pleased that ExxonMobil chose our Altos full-height, demountable walls. We were thoroughly evaluated on the product’s design and aesthetics, acoustics and technology integration, and the flexibility, ease of disassembly and future use capabilities resulting from its prefabricated assembly.”
For the new ExxonMobil campus project, Teknion will install over 98,000 linear feet (29,870 metres) of Altos beginning the third quarter of 2013. Altos will be used throughout the project to define individual offices, collaborative workspaces and meeting areas.
