Va-va-va Vitra!

At this year’s Salone Internazionale del Mobile in Milan, you can visit Vitra at two locations.

NEW COLOURS FOR JEAN PROUVE
Salone Internazionale del Mobile
Hall 20, C05 / D04
The Frenchman Jean Prouvé ranks among the most innovative minds of the 20th century when it comes to design, architecture and the art of engineering. In his work as a design engineer, Prouvé has continually experimented with his drafts and adapted them to the zeitgeist of the time.

Together with the Prouvé family and the Dutch designer Hella Jongerius, Vitra has reworked the color palette across all product lines and integrates some of the most familiar designs by Jean Prouvé as new versions with new colors into the Prouvé Collection. This also includes the two armchairs Fauteuil de Salon and Fauteuil Direction.

Alongside the classic Standard model, Vitra will present a new version of the iconic chair in a modern mix of materials  with the Standard SP (Siège en Plastique): the Prouvé design classic appears in a new light with seat and backrest of robust plastic in modest and contemporary shades.

At the same time, the successful limited Prouvé RAW Edition that was launched in 2011 will be discontinued in a few weeks and will only be available until the end of April 2013.

THE WORKBAY OFFICE
Salone Ufficio
Hall 22, D20 / D24
Salone Ufficio is the exhibition that showcases the products for the office sector along with home office solutions and work environments. For the first time Vitra has decided to take part in the Salone Ufficio. Vitra will present an installation created by Ronan & Erwan Bouroullec on the subject of The Workbay Office in a 2,150-square-foot booth. This experimental study designs an entire office area using Workbays alone.

PROJECT OFFICE FOR LIVING
Salone Ufficio
The French architect Jean Nouvel will explore contemporary building options freed up by a rejection of cloned, enclosed and repetitive spaces in a dedicated area inside the Salone Ufficio pavilion. Vitra has been given the opportunity to support this project with products.
