Jean Nouvel walks the walk
When you think of Jean Nouvel, it’s unlikely you think of sneakers – until now. The famous French designer has created Pure, a capsule collection that Ruco Line, specializing in the making of high-quality designer sneakers, will preview at the 2013 Milan Furniture Fair. The company will do this through a series of symbolic places of fashion and design.
The capsule collection will be first displayed in the Milanese flagship stores of the brand, via della Spiga and Corso di Porta Ticinese; in the concept shop 10 Corso Como; at Antonia Uomo, on the second floor of the Excelsior; at the Design Supermarket in the basement floor of La Rinascente and at the Spazio Rossana Orlandi; inside the event “Hybrid Architecture & Design” organized by the magazine Interni at the Università degli Studi di Milano; at the Pinacoteca di Brera, within the project called Spazio Umbria and finally at iSaloni – SaloneUfficio Progetto: ufficio da abitare Pad. 24.
It is the architect’s first time exploring the world of fashion, transferring his creative philosophy into an accessory dedicated to those who love the purity of form. Pure stands out for its linear and essential forms, typical of Nouvel’s spare style and of his search for the ultimate essence of things; the finest leather chosen for the creation of this project further emphasizes the sneaker’s strong identity. Great attention is also given to details, which personalize the show with a play of graphic elements, making it truly unique.
