Humanscale’s winning Touch
Humanscale’s TouchPoint T7 mobile technology cart has earned a Red Dot award for product design. Carefully selected from 4,662 works, the T7 demonstrated outstanding innovation, aesthetic and function to the jurors of international repute. According to Red Dot, “only the best products were bestowed with the coveted award for aesthetic forms and lasting trends.”
Since 1955, the Red Dot Award: Product Design has been an internationally recognized seal of quality that marks only the most exceptional product designs. As one of the most prestigious, renowned annual design competitions in the world, Red Dot consistently receives thousands of quality submissions. This year, entries from 1,865 manufacturers, designers and architects hailing from 54 countries were evaluated in the competition. The jury panel of 37 globally renowned specialists reflected the level of excellence conferred by the award and guaranteed the winners would possess tremendous merit.
Thanks to its excellent, ergonomic design that combines expert maneuverability with one-step height adjustment, the T7 differentiated itself from other products in the product design category. In addition to the Red Dot Award for Product Design, Humanscale also earned an “honorable mention” for the Diffrient Smart task chair. In 2010 and 2011, Humanscale received Red Dot awards for the Diffrient World® task chair and the Horizon task light, respectively.
The winners will congregate to celebrate their success on July 1 at the glamorous awards ceremony in Essen, Germany. In addition, the winners will be prominently featured in the Red Dot design yearbook and will be exhibited at the Red Dot design museum.
