Tina for two
During iSaloni, Expormim launched the Tina armchair and sofa designed by Benedetta Tagliabue, a prestigious Italian architect based in Barcelona. Tina is a clear commitment to natural materials and the craft of wicker.
With a clear technical complexity, the chair and the sofa within the Tina collection have been a challenge both in development and manufacturing. Tagliabue designed the seats with a clear intention: to use the tradition of wicker to create a sleek and sinuous design working with the best craftsmen. Tina brings the elegance of nature and represents the Mediterranean lifestyle.
Say Tagliabue, “Wickerwork is a marvelous form of art, and an artisanal technique which is the same the world over. One can even say that wickerwork represents the first universal language of humankind: the language of hands. That is why we research about wicker and the weaving of natural materials in our design studio. Tina is the result of our collaboration with the industry. With a design featuring both innovation and tradition, it is built with the painstaking care and attention to detail characteristic of artisanal methods coupled with the precision and quality that comes with technology. Tina is surprisingly lightweight and sinuous due to the features and comfort of its natural braiding.”
