From Nessen, Uno and Vorti are LED rotatable, direct/indirect, dimmable contemporary-design vertical wall sconces.They were designed by distinguished lighting and furniture designer Mary Helen Pratte, exclusively for Nessen.
Nessen was founded 1927 by famed Manhattan interior and lighting designer Walter von Nessen.
Uno and Vorti LED wall sconces provide aimable, highly energy-saving, softly diffused ambient/accent and lounge-seating or bedside reading lighting in an original, understated, lasting architectural aesthetic. They are well-suited for use in corporate conference rooms, executive offices and suites, office corridors and common spaces, reception areas and corporate dining; physician offices, patient waiting rooms, upscale healthcare clinics and assisted-living installations; select hotel, restaurant and other hospitality venues; retail boutiques; and throughout high-end residential interiors.
Uno and Vorti reinterpret the sleek combination rectilinear and curved low-scale shapes of Walter von Nessen’s original foldable wall-sconce lighting forms, in timeless new designs for broad use in modern or transitional spaces. They provide distinctive tactile, three-dimensional lighting objects, which cast warm, nonglare rotatable white light directly into a room or space, or reflected off of a wall.
Uno’s light housing measures 15 inches in its vertical length, with a 1.5-inch diameter and a 3.75-inch-wide X 5-inch-high vertical backplate.
Vorti’s light housing measures 25 inches in length; 1.5-inches diameter; with a 3.75-inch-wide X 25-inch-high vertical backplate.
Further carrying on the Walter von Nessen tradition, Uno and Vorti LED wall sconces are genuine brass-metal construction, including backplate. Models can be specified in a choice of antique, brushed or polished brass; polished or satin chrome; polished or satin nickel finishes. Optional baked-enamel painted finishes may also be specified.
As new additions to designer Mary Helen Pratte’s Twivell series of light fixtures, the LED lamp-containing components rotate up to 350°; are dimmable; and with on-site replaceable LED modules if ever needed.
Illumination for Uno and is provided by one 6-LED lampboard, totaling 6 longlife watts for Uno outputting 540 lumens, at 3000° K woven white color temperature with 85 CRI, and two lampboards totaling 12 watts for Vorti, outputting 1080 lumens 3000° K woven white color temperature with 85 CRI. Each LED lampboard is mounted on a proprietary integral heat sink. Rated LED operating life is 50,000 hours. Sconces are UL and cUL listed; state of California Title 20 and RoHS compliant for reduced use of any hazardous substances, LEED suitable, Energy-Star rated; approximately proudly union made in America at Nessen’s own plant.
