Andy Warhol goes Bugaboo

The second launch of Bugaboo’s multi-year collaboration with the Andy Warhol Foundation, ventures into the playful world of the legendary pop artist’s design legacy. The Happy Bugs collection is based on artwork of the 1950s, displaying vivid and joyful hand-drawn illustrations created pre-Warhol’s Pop Art era as a famed commercial illustrator in New York City. Showcasing an array of bugs, the autumn 2013 collection is original, unexpected and striking… just as the artist intended his whimsical illustrations to be.

“Happy Bug Day” is one of Warhol’s earlier art pieces (1954) and relates to both children and parents. This lively colorful print is available as a Bugaboo Tailored Fabric Set for the Bugaboo Cameleon3 and the Bugaboo Donkey; and as a Bugaboo Sun Canopy for the Bugaboo Bee and the Bugaboo Donkey duo extension set. Featured on a dark-grey background color, the Happy Bugs are printed on the interior and exterior of the sun canopies. The collection includes a unique Bugaboo Baby Cocoon and Bugaboo Footmuff highlighting a few fun and happy Warhol Happy Bugs on a white background.
