Marset’s witty Scotch Club collection

Known for inventive and striking designs, Barcelona-based lighting company Marset reimagines a 1970s staple with Scotch Club – designed by Barcelona-based designer Xavier and Turkish design duo Mashallah. The Scotch Club collection takes its inspiration from the disco ball. There are 72 internal faces that reflect light in all directions. From a distance, the ceramic fixture reveals its unique and elegant shape.

The warmth of the fixture’s ceramic composition contrasts with the faceted edges of the sphere, creating a playful effect. Made using a meticulous traditional design process, the lamps are fired four times. They are then glazed with glazes that have been specially developed for Scotch Club. The collection uses warm and high-quality materials, creating a beautiful effect. Completing the collection are two wall models with a lacquered metal reflector that transmits multiple reflections and makes this fixture an ideal decorative element.

Scotch Club is available as a wall scone, pendant, and ceiling fixture. The ceramic diffuser is available with an interior of brilliant white enamel or gold. In the wall versions, a lacquered metal reflector shields the light. The pendant collection’s three sizes allow one to create sculptures in the air. Scotch Club is available with white, blue, terra cotta, and black ceramic exteriors.
