Warming winner

Serie T, the “tailor-made” radiator from Antrax IT, has won a prestigious Good Design award 2013

Already chosen for the Compasso d’Oro prize in 2012, and thus figuring in the authoritative publication ADI Design Index 2012 as well as winner of the Interior Innovation Award, also in 2012, Serie T, designed by Matteo Thun and Antonio Rodriguez, is the first tailor-made radiator built of extruded aluminium which uses the special T-shaped cross-section.

Serie T has been designed so that it can be “cut” in a tailor-made fashion depending on the specific requirements and various settings in which it needs to be located, and can in fact be customized to the nearest centimetre as well as being extremely flexible and lightweight.

Serie T is thus not just a simple radiator, but a true item of interior decor with an iconic design which allows it to feature discreetly, yet at the same time displaying a strong personality, creating a “warm atmosphere,” both in the bathroom/wellness areas and in the more sophisticated living room areas.

The aluminium profiles used, as well as possessing a high level of resistance to corrosion, make for exceptional heat output and ultra-low water content, to accommodate the requirements of sustainability and energy-saving, which are ever more necessary in modern housing.

ABOUT THE GOOD DESIGN AWARD

The Good Design award is an international design award set up in 1950 based on an idea by Edgar Kaufmann Jr., curator and founder of the Museum of Modern Art in Chicago, bestowed by the Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design and promoted by the European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies.

The prize is awarded for the most innovative products of the year (in terms of shape, materials, construction, concept, function, usefulness, sustainability and aesthetic effect) and the prize-winning products are included in the permanent design collection at the Chicago Athenaeum.
