Herman Miller Eames molded plastic chairs return in a new, more sustainable fiberglass

Herman Miller has introduced the classic Eames Shell Chair in an eco-friendly, recyclable fiberglass shell for Spring 2014. The original textural, slightly glossy finish of the Shell chair – which was first introduced in 1950 – has been brought back to life through a more sustainable fiberglass chemistry and production process.

These fully recyclable models are available as both arm and side chairs in nine newly formatted archival colours. The many available options include a choice of wire, dowel leg, stacking, rocker and 4-leg bases with or without upholstery.
