Humanscale wants us to Rise up and take notice

In response to research that continues to emerge about the effects of inactivity, Humanscale has released Rise, a sit/stand solution that retrofits existing desks to allow the user to more smoothly transition between sitting and standing positions. Rise, available in North America starting in late June, is the newest addition to Humanscale’s suite of products that include award-winning task chairs, sit/stand desks and task lighting.

“Rise is an extremely exciting product that continues Humanscale’s drive to offer revolutionary sit/stand solutions,” said John Brooks, product manager. “Rise will also employ constant-force technology, the same technology in Float, our sit/stand table, which allows users to alternate postures with ease. With Rise, companies can incorporate sit/stand into their working environments without having to invest in new workstations, or utilize it as the perfect complement to any new build out.”

Rise was designed as a sit/stand solution that can be clamped like a monitor arm to any fixed-height work surface, allowing the user to move effortlessly between seated and standing postures throughout the day. Its central column holds a monitor and a platform for a keyboard, and can be adjusted to the desired height of the vast majority of users by simply raising the platform.

An extremely stable product, Rise features an aesthetic that can be readily incorporated into any environment. It is equipped with an integrated cable harness to allow users to plug in and go immediately for easy access to technology. Available in a number of configurations, including those with dual monitor requirements, Rise can accommodate nearly any application or specification.
