BILD’s recognition of TAS as Green Home Builder of the Year (High-Rise) is aligned with the company’s commitment to Shaping Beautiful Cities through its unique approach of city building guided by TAS’s Four Pillars of Sustainability, and its commitment to building to a minimum LEED Silver standard. Complementing this approach, in 2013 TAS became the first Canadian real-estate developer to achieve B Corporation status – a result of its high standards with respect to accountability, transparency, and social and environmental performance. The company’s relentless efforts to bring about positive social and environmental change also led TAS to be placed on the prestigious B Corp Best for the World list in 2014, which honours businesses from around the world that have earned an overall score in the top 10 per cent of all Certified B Corporations. TAS uses its business as a force for good, making it a forward-thinking influencer in the building industry.
Now 75 per cent sold, DUKE Condos, named after its location at the corner of Dundas Street West (DU) and Keele Street (KE), has just released new live/work laneway suites and townhomes. DUKE will be built to a LEED Silver standard, incorporating a green roof, in-suite energy recovery ventilators (ERV) and terraces lined with harvest planters for home vegetable gardening.
