Italy’s Progetti adds five new products to its 2014 roster at Maison & Objet

During September’s Maison & Objet in Paris, Progetti presented five new products that extend the already rich collection of 2014 objects that are enjoying great success: four clocks (Ball, Tris, Dandy and Hindia) and an umbrella stand.

BALL Designed by Manuel Barbieri. Colourful, playful and with a soft shape just like the chewy sweets that inspired its design – delightful, bright coloured jellies of various sizes. Ball is a charmingly amusing cuckoo wall clock; the main body is in white varnished wood where the hands and the cuckoo are set. It has 12 wooden cylinders of different diameters and colours, which give the clock an unusual, attractive shape.

TRIS Designed by Gianluca Minchillo. Three aligned cylinders in different colours give life to this wall or tabletop cuckoo clock. Tris with its appealing design is an ideal furniture accessory which suits any type of setting or decor. It has three elements, three chrome variations each with three colours. It is in fact available in the elegant shades of grey (with white, grey and black cylinders); in the warm bright shades of orange, red and burgundy; and last of all, in the colder shades of blue, turquoise and navy.

FLUT Designed by Gianluca Minchillo. A contemporary umbrella stand in metal with a square base element on which a series of 10 cones of different heights are mounted and designed to hold umbrellas, creating a harmonious movement and dynamic effect when viewed from any angle. It is not only a useful object, but also a design accessory that decorates and livens up entrances to houses, offices and buildings. There is also the possibility of combining more pieces together.

HINDIA Designed by Manuel Barbieri e Francesco Diomedi. A clock inspired by the charming details of Indian lanterns, bringing elegantly together tradition and innovation, emotion and austerity. A linear object, simple but well-defined, which honors a great culture. Hindia was conceived in two colour variations, black and white; both are adorned with gold- and silver-coloured details. The framework is of an octagonal shape and is made of varnished wood. It can be used as a tabletop clock or can hang on the wall or from the ceiling (with or without the pendulum).

DANDY Designed by Manuel Barbieri. A vintage and dandy-inspired style with an ageless appeal. The handlebar moustache was attributed to the typical London dandies and distinguished their physical appearance. Moustaches nowadays are a symbol of modern dandies in all the major cities of the world and thanks to Progetti cuckoo clocks, they can now be put on a desk or on a shelf giving an elegant and ironic touch to any room.
