For fall 2014, KnollTextiles presents the Zest Collection, a bright colourful collection of upholstery, wallcovering, and panel fabrics. Included are fabrics from the growing KT Collection of affordable modern upholstery. This collection is designed for hospitality, healthcare and contract settings.
“Our new collection includes a range of high performance fabrics with clear, clean colours and classic textures,” says creative director Dorothy Cosonas. “One of the stars of the Zest Collection is Pivot. This innovative panel fabric mimics natural wool and can also be used for wallcovering.”
KT UPHOLSTERY
PETAL PUSHER This vinyl upholstery has an all-over organic floral print and can read as either a pattern or subtle texture. Made in the U.S., it appeals to hospitality, healthcare and corporate clients alike. Antimicrobial, bleach cleanable; 85 per cent vinyl (face), 5 per cent viscose (backing), 10 per cent polyester (backing).
WESTWOOD This KT Collection polyurethane upholstery is has a soft, leather-like hand and comes stocked with a Nano-Tex ink and denim-dye resistant finish. The proprietary emboss is deeper than most polyurethanes, giving it a unique look that mimics true leather. Bleach cleanable, alcohol cleanable; 60 per cent polyurethane (face), 33 per cent polyester (backing), 7 per cent cotton (backing).
WALLCOVERING/PANEL
REGENT This linen-like all-over texture is the next iteration of KnollTextiles’ popular vinyl wallcovering Fine Print. Made in the U.S., 11 of the 12 colours contain a pearlized finish. It features fashion-forward colours like burgundy and is an excellent choice for hospitality. 86 per cent vinyl, 7 per cent post-consumer recycled polyester, 7 per cent polyester.
TWISTER This classic, sophisticated panel fabric comes in a range of warm and cool neutrals. Made in the U.S. 100 per cent polyester.
PIVOT A truly unique product in the marketplace, Pivot is a multi-use acoustical panel and wallcovering fabric that mimics natural wool and comes in a range of saturated colours. Pivot is non-woven and contains anti-static properties. Acoustically neutral. Pre-approved on Knoll, Novawall and DIRTT systems. 100 per cent polyester.

KnollTextiles is currently under the creative direction of Dorothy Cosonas who combines clean, clear colour with modern, elegant patterns and textures. Influenced by a passion for fine art and international fashion, Cosonas is the recipient of numerous awards, including Gold at Best of NeoCon. Her work was a major part of KnollTextiles 2011 retrospective exhibition at the Bard Graduate Center and has been accepted into the permanent collection of Cooper-Hewitt, National Design Museum.
