Opening in Toronto in January: GE Monogram’s very first Canadian luxury showroom
The custom Design Centre and cooking studio will be a place where discerning homeowners and trade professionals can visit to be inspired, as well as to interact with Monogram’s line of luxury appliances. The freestanding two-story space features 4,000 square feet of spacious showroom on the main floor and a 2,500-square-foot cooking studio on its upper floor.
Says Monogram general manager Philippe Meyersohn, “Monogram has earned the reputation as the badge for consumers who are actually looking to use their professional appliances. We have invested to create a unique space that celebrates Torontonian’s love of food, Beginning with essentials like cooking with farm-fresh ingredients and high quality appliances, and combining them with a true passion and respect for culinary innovation, the Monogram Design Centre will elevate Toronto’s Design District and culinary landscape.”
The Toronto Monogram Design Centre will offer visitors the ultimate sensory experience. A custom-crafted space designed by renowned architecture firm Hariri Pontarini Architects, an interactive cooking studio headed up by notable Toronto restaurant personalities Donna Dooher and Esther Benaim and an aromatic rooftop herb garden: theses are just some of the ways Monogram will cater to all the senses.
The addition of the Toronto Design Centre to the Monogram portfolio marks the evolution of Monogram as a luxury brand and elevates the Canadian appliance showroom space. GE opened the doors to its first Monogram Design Centre in 2008, located in the Architects & Designers Building in New York City; May 2013 saw the opening of the second North American Design Centre, located at LuxeHome in Chicago’s Merchandise Mart.
