Cristalplant Design Contest 2015 award ceremony will take place at the Antoniolupi showroom in Milan
The Antoniolupi showroom in Milan is a unique setting for an event not to be missed: the award ceremony of the Cristalplant Design Contest, 2015 edition.
Located in the heart of the Brera Design District in via Porta Tenaglia, the Antoniolupi showroom was conceived as a new space for discussing about design and its trends. Opened in 2008, it immediately became a reference centre for both architects and interior designers.
Moreover, for the Salone del Mobile and the Cristalplant Design Contest award ceremony, the showroom has been completely renovated and extended.
Says Andrea Lupi, “In order to best conclude the Cristalplant Design Contest 2015, we decided to open the new extension of the showroom, which was specifically designed to enhance the exhibition of the winning objects.”
In this context, the borders of the exhibiting function of the space blur. The scenic and social environment is made up of multiple micro-spaces that break with the classical idea of showroom and express themselves as the starting points of a new meeting area for exchanging knowledge and ideas.
In this unique location, the Cristalplant Design Contest award ceremony will be held on Apr.13, 2015, at 12 noon (upon invitation).
This year, the two design categories have been divided by target ages:
YOUNG DESIGNERS (born after 01/01/1980), who designed either a single product or a complete line of bathroom furniture in Cristalplant Biobased, also combined with other materials (not including sanitary fixtures and small accessories);
SENIOR DESIGNERS (born before 01/01/1980), who designed a single product in the category of contract bathroom furniture in Cristalplant Biobased, also combined with other materials (not including sanitary fixtures and small accessories).
The winning projects will be initially implemented as prototypes and later included in the Antoniolupi catalogue. The showroom will be open during the Salone del Mobile (Apr. 14-19, 2015) from 10 a.m. to 9.00 p.m.
