WETSTYLE honored with Green GOOD DESIGN Award
WETSTYLE, a Montreal-based designer, manufacturer and marketer of bath furnishings, announced today that WETMAR BiO, the proprietary material from which its soaking bathtubs, wash basins and shower pans are made, has been awarded the Green GOOD DESIGN Award.
This is the first time the company is being presented with the Green GOOD DESIGN Award, which identifies the world’s most impressive examples of sustainable design. Members of The European Center’s International Advisory Committee served as the jury and selected over 100 products programs, people, environmental planning, and architecture as outstanding examples of Green Design from 22 nations.
WETMAR BiO is an eco-friendly material made primarily from a mix of natural ingredients – soy and mineral stone. WETSTYLE’s proprietary code-compliant recipe includes soy and vegetable extracts instead of the petrochemical-based resins frequently used by the industry.
Beyond being eco-friendly, WETMAR BiO also is exceptionally strong. Its performance in high-traffic locations makes it ideal for both home and hotel environments. WETSTYLE products with WETMAR BiO can be found in hotels including the Ritz-Carlton in Montréal and Fogo Island Inn in Fogo Island, Newfoundland.
