FORM MADE CONCRETE Home Candle Holder from the U.K.’s ContemporaryLab

ContemporaryLab’s Home Candle Holder, created by Miles Dexter, is a pure piece of design. Each candle holder is individually cast in concrete, giving it its own unique appearance. The underside is date-marked with the year, and has four cork pads to sit on any surface. Its size: length 11cm; depth 5cm; height 8cm.

Brighton, U.K.-based ContemporaryLab was founded as “the original design graduate collective” in 2011 by Emma Brocklesby. In the first year, the collective won an Elle Decoration “Approved” award at the London Design Festival and followed on to work with various clients including Zizzi, Soda Stream & Red Bull. Four years down the line, the collective is no longer a group of fresh graduates but now established young designers with world-famous. This year, the team has turned their attention to creating lifestyle-enhancing homewares and accessories.

The collective curate different collections throughout the year, which after much research, its members feel have an important place in today’s homes. As always, the team continue to run an exceptional bespoke design service as well as interior design, upcycling and upholstery.
