Smith & Fong expands operations in Canadian market
Smith & Fong Co., manufacturer of bamboo architectural plywood and flooring products, has announced it is stepping up it operations and taking an active role in the Canadian marketplace, according to Smith & Fong president Angus Stocks.
The expansion includes direct importation and warehousing of its extensive range of products as well as new distribution and marketing representation. The base of Smith & Fong’s Canadian operations will be Toronto.
“Canada has been a great market for the Plyboo line over the years and we are very committed and excited about the potential there,” says Stocks. “So we are stepping up our engagement and commitment to meet it.”
Direct importation with product on the ground to support the company’s growth strategy and distribution network there was the natural next step for operations there, Stocks says,
The company has also announced the signing of Toronto-based Park Street Solutions, who will focus on promoting Smith & Fong’s leading-edge products such as the Reveal, Linear Lines and Sound (with proprietary QuietWall sound-dampening technology) wall systems.
