ASID Foundation looking for submissions for Transform Research Grants

The ASID Foundation is pleased to announce the fifth annual Transform Research Grants to provide essential funding to address critical gaps in industry knowledge, advance design understanding, and transform the practice of interior design for the benefit of everyone. The ASID Foundation believes that interior design improves the human condition, and supports research and education that articulates and expands knowledge about how interior design impacts behavior by seeking proposals that are creative and innovative in addressing outcomes that have practical applications for design practitioners and their clients.

While researchers may propose topics and a rigor of methodology geared toward, and ultimately appearing in, refereed journals, they must also be directly relevant, easily translatable, and of keen interest to practicing designers and publications that serve the leadership community, such as Wall Street Journal, Fast Company, etc. The Foundation is not seeking proposals for basic research, historical research, or literature reviews. The Transform Interior Design Research Grant program is made possible by the generous support of the Donghia Foundation.

Awards will fund evidence-based research on the impact of interior design on learning performance and experience. The deadline for submissions is December 7, 2015.
