Todd Saunders to give keynote address at IIDEX15
Norway-based Todd Saunders is one of the most notable Canadian architects working internationally today. Led by a strong contemporary design sensibility, he believes that architecture plays an important role in creating place, by using form, materials and texture to help evoke and shape memory and human interaction. Through his practice, Saunders Architecture, he has worked on cultural and residential projects across the globe such as Fogo Island Inn in Newfoundland, a UNICEF centre in Norway, and a large scale residential project in Istanbul, Turkey.
Todd takes the Keilhauer Theatre on Thursday, December 3, from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. He will highlight recent international projects and give insight into the making of Fogo Island Inn. Zita Cobb, the Founder of Fogo Island Inn, will also be speaking on December 2 at the IDC/IIDA Leaders Breakfast Toronto.
The Air Canada enRoute Hotel Design Awards will follow Todd’s keynote.
