UNION31 rebrands, now U31

Today, UNION31 becomes U31, signalling a new era for the award-winning studio as it expands its thriving condominium and residential interior design firm. The studio will also pursue new hospitality and largescale residential clients.

The partnership – creative principals Kelly Cray, Neil Jonsohn and finance principal Nancy Dyson – will continue to focus the practice on diverse commercial, residential and hospitality design for clients across the globe, including luxury home and large-scale mixed-use development projects. Among the firm’s key examples of condominium and sales centre collaborations with developers are: Alterra and Zinc’s 36 Hazelton, Monarch and Goldman’s Picasso Condos, Tridel’s 300 Front Street, Concert Properties 88 Scott, and Pemberton Group’s Urban Townhome Collection model home.

U31’s most recent acknowledgments for design excellence include three Building Industry and Land Development (BILD) Awards in 2015—Best Hi-rise Project Rendering for Beacon Condos; People’s Choice Award for The Academy; Best New Home Design +1,500 sq.ft. for Urban Townhome Collection, as well as winning this year in the best marketing category for the Roy Presentation Centre in Canadian Interiors annual ‘Best of Canada’ design competition.
