Zones of Immersion
To jazz up the subway platforms of Union Station in time for the Pan Am Games this past summer, the TTC held an open international competition in 2007. Canadian artist Stuart Reid’s winning bid, called “Zones of Immersion,” is a 7-foot high by 500-foot long translucent wall mural featuring 166 silver-stained, enameled, engraved and laminated glass panels with original imagery and text that captures the blurred rhythms of a city in transit.
