Janson Goldstein releases first monograph
The New York-based architecture and interior design firm Janson Goldstein has released Work, in part to commemorate their 20th anniversary. Work is a glimpse into the firm’s diverse practice, ranging from artisan-crafted custom furnishings, to highly personalized homes and apartments, to large-scale urban retail, hospitality and condominium projects.
Janson Goldstein’s founding principles were to bring the disciplines of architecture and interior design together under one roof, and to embrace a diversity of project typologies. The richly photographed monograph illustrates how these principles have been implemented in more than 400 projects world-wide.
The firm’s Toronto-based commercial projects included in the book include the Holt Renfrew Flagship and Holt Renfrew Men’s stores, and the freestanding Holt Renfrew in Mississauga. They are examples of Janson Goldstein’s commitment to modernism, open, flowing space; ample natural light; honesty of structure; refinement of proportion; and the seamless integration of architecture and interior design.
