National Bank sponsors design consultation experience at IDS16

National Bank and the Interior Designers of Canada (IDC) are taking on design dilemmas and refreshing renovations in the National Bank Design Lab at this year’s Interior Design Show (IDS16). This marks the second year National Bank has partnered with IDC to create a learning-focused space giving visitors the opportunity to receive innovative design solutions and professional guidance from IDC experts.

Boasting three consultation stations which cater to individual creativity – Brainstorm, Zen and Artistry – the design bank will provide complimentary consultation experiences where members of the IDC will teach attendees about the season’s new design trends and provide professional advice that fits their own home renovation needs.

National Bank will spark IDS16 visitors’ imagination by allowing them to create their own personal design mood board with the fun and interactive Inspiration Table. Utilizing dynamic décor images, guests can assemble a personalized design concept and share their mood board on social media to be entered for a chance to win an in-home design consultation with a member of the IDC.

In its fourth year as presenting sponsor for Canada’s biggest design fair, National Bank is focused on supporting the design community. To help homeowners’ dreams come true, National Bank will give away $10,000 to one lucky winner to put towards a home design update or a renovation.

“National Bank understands the importance of design in Canada and is proud to partner with IDS16 and IDC to help foster growth of the design community,” said Linda Smart Vice President, Commercial and Agriculture Banking, Ontario at National Bank. “We are committed to supporting this industry and doing our part to assist the public with their home renovation needs and there is no better partner than IDC.”

“We’re gearing up for another successful year as we partner with National Bank and IDS16,” says Ron Hughes, Interim Chief Executive Officer, Interior Designers of Canada. “Last year our goal was to help show attendees find practical design solutions to their problems, and with the synergy of our teams, those plans came to fruition. This year we are back to solve those problems and channel visitor’s personal creativity to build a beautiful space.”
