Cintas Canada kicks-off seventh annual Canada’s Best Restroom Contest
Do you take pride in your facility’s one-of-a-kind, extremely clean restroom? If so, now is the time to enter the Canada’s Best Restroom Contest, presented by Cintas Canada, Ltd.
Nominations are now being accepted through Aug. 26 for the seventh annual contest. If your restroom has unique architectural elements, an eco-friendly design, endless elegant touches or something else that makes it special, then Cintas wants to see it.
“Year after year we’re amazed by the unique restrooms we see in restaurants, museums, truck stops and hundreds of other types of facilities throughout Canada,” said Leslie Molin, Senior Marketing Manager, Cintas Canada. “This contest highlights businesses with clean, well-stocked restrooms that go the extra mile to attract and retain customers.”
Past winners include the Shaw Club Hotel & Spa in Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario, which won for its five-star style, including a modern glass infinity sink and glass door technology that turned the stall doors from clear to opaque with the turn of the lock.
“We have had an unbelievably positive response since winning Canada’s Best Restroom, including publicity from numerous media channels across the country,” said Jason Baumgartner, Sales and Marketing Manager, Shaw Club Hotel & Spa. “It’s exciting to have guests stop by daily to check out our award-winning restrooms. I would highly recommend this contest to all businesses.”
Last year, the 1000 Islands Duty Free Shop in Lansdowne, Ontario won for its wow factor and attention to detail in both the women’s and men’s restrooms.
“The Canada’s Best Restroom Contest was a great experience to have been a part of,” said Jeff Butler, manager of the family owned and operated 1000 Islands Duty Free Shop. “What began as a renovation to say ‘Thank You’ to our customers turned into so much more! The competition provided us with a level of media coverage and publicity we never expected, which has led to increased awareness about our store and an increase in customers. The overall experience created so much excitement for customers and our staff and continues to generate positive feedback every day.”
