Brewpub by DesignAgency coming to Liberty Village this fall

Oliver & Bonacini and Big Rock Brewery are set to open Liberty Commons at Big Rock Brewery (Liberty Commons), a modern-day brewpub in the heart of Toronto’s Liberty Village, together this fall.

Designed by award-winning firm DesignAgency, the space will feature a blend of modern and nostalgic touches and diverse seating for a variety of experiences. It will encourage an inviting and lively environment, ideal for weekday lunches, post-work drinks, watching games, dinner celebrations and weekend lounging.

The culinary direction, inspired by traditional European beer halls with contemporary British pub influences, will be led by Chefs Anthony Walsh and John Horne, and the brewing team will be overseen by Brewmaster Connor K. Patrick.

Drawing on Big Rock’s selection of quality craft products, the menu will include beer-based marinades and beer pairings.  Collaboration brews between chef and brewmaster will also feature prominently. The dining experience will nod to culinary theatre with tableside carving, oversized dishes and an emphasis on cooking over live fuels.

Set in a unique two-level heritage space, Liberty Commons will occupy the entire lower floor, featuring a contemporary bar and dining space, a customizable private dining area for events and a patio oasis, complete with comfortable lounge seating and outdoor fireplaces. The Big Rock storefront at the main level will feature a tasting room, with Big Rock products available for purchase.
