Studio TK attains certification for environmental performance

Contract furniture company Studio TK has announced that it has attained certification to ISO 14001:2015, the latest version of the international standard for environmental management systems that specifies a process for controlling and improving an organization’s environmental performance.

“Our environmental management system provides a systematic framework for us to identify the environmental impact of our activities, products and services,” said Charlie Bell, president of Studio TK. “It also establishes commitments and targets, and monitors results so we can continually improve our environmental performance in every facet of our operations. A solid environmental management system such as ISO 14001:2015 helps measure and manage environmental factors, making it good not only for our business and society, but also for our employees and customers.”

ISO 14001:2015 responds to the latest trends, such as an increasing recognition by companies of the need to factor in both external and internal elements that influence their impact, including climate volatility. The latest standard covers all environmental challenges – water, air, soil, waste, biodiversity, ecosystem services, climate challenges and more – in one standard and helps organizations to manage them in a holistic manner.

Studio TK manufactures a broad range of contract furniture seating, tables, casegoods, screens and collections at its North Carolina facility.
