Green, clean, and committed to sustainable manufacturing, Keilhauer has been acknowledged by Canada’s Top 100 Employers as one of Canada’s Greenest Employers for 2017. The award, announced Friday, recognizes employers that lead the nation in creating a culture of environmental change. This year marks the company’s third consecutive year that its sustainability initiatives have been lauded by this prestigious program.

Canada’s Greenest Employers evaluates a comprehensive array of sustainability initiatives including unique programs, analyzing the environmental footprint of a business’s operations, employee engagement and marketing. Some of the accomplishments that earned Keilhauer this recognition include:
- Zero waste to landfill
- Near zero water usage during production
- 100 per cent electricity usage offset by purchasing renewable energy credits
- Sustainability-focused procurement practices
- Preventing packaging waste through re-usable shipping materials
- Finding value in “waste” through unique recycling programs for textiles, personal safety items and more
