Cosentino launches new colours from Silestone and Dekton at IDS

The 2018 Interior Design Show (IDS) in Toronto was the site of successful market presentation by Cosentino, a global leader in the production and distribution of innovative surfaces for the world of architecture and design. During the show which ran from January 18-21, 2018, the company launched new colours from their Silestone and Dekton surface lines, displayed their Dekton custom inkjet capabilities and was recognized for the third consecutive year for their award-winning exhibit, earning the first place IDS Booth Award in the 601-sq. ft. and above category.

Juried by an esteemed panel of judges, the IDS Booth Awards acknowledge excellence in exhibit design. Cosentino designed the open concept booth at their headquarters in Almeria, Spain. The booth showcased new releases from both ultra-compact Dekton and Silestone natural quartz surfaces. New colours from both brands were demonstrated in large format slabs displayed in a gallery-like setting, allowing show attendees to get an up close and personal look at some the brand’s state-of-the-art surface options.

“We are extremely proud to have received the first place Best Booth Award for the second year in a row at IDS Toronto. It was our goal to showcase Cosentino’s beautiful, innovative surfaces in a creative way and seeing the industry acknowledge our efforts reinforces our continued success in the Canadian market,” said Massimo Ballucchi, Director of Marketing for Cosentino North America.

Following the success of the Silestone Eternal Collection which launched last year at IDS Toronto, five new colours were added to the existing collection, making their debut during the 2018 show. The new hues offer a modern, reinvented take on some of the most sought-after marbles and stones, coupled with the latest technological advancements only Silestone can offer. The five new colours, which bring the collection to a total of ten colourways, include: Eternal Bianco Calacatta, Eternal Classic Calacatta, Eternal Desert Silver, Eternal Emperador, and Eternal Marfil.

Additionallyfour new Dekton colours (Fossil, Kira, Nayla, and Vienna) were also launched, offering a range of unique dark and light designs boasting excellent technical properties expected of the revolutionary ultra-compact surface brand. The new Dekton colour additions will be available at Cosentino City and Centres across Canada at the end of the first quarter. Dekton’s new Industrial Collection designed by Daniel Germani was also on display, generating tons of interest for its unique characteristics inspired by the look of aged, rusted metals, organic patterns, and weather-worn exotic natural stone.

The booth featured a working bar area with a cascading island topped with Silestone’s Eternal Marquina, an eye-catching black surface with intense white veining reminiscent of natural Marquina stone. A shower display highlighted Cosentino’s custom bathroom options including their sinks and shower bases.

“IDS is considered one of North America’s leading design shows and we feel our presence at the show really sets us apart from our competition in terms of design and product offerings. We kicked off this year on a high note and couldn’t be more excited to see what the rest of the year will bring. We look forward to seeing our newly launched Dekton and Silestone colours take their place in Canadian design projects over the course of 2018,” said Ballucchi.
