Furniture & Light Fair headlines Stockholm’s February Design Week

Taking place February 5-11, the Stockholm Design Week returns to the Scandinavian capital for 2018. The first-ever Stockholm Design Week was held in 2002 and has since then developed into the most important week of the year for Scandinavian Design, where just about everyone connected to or interested in Scandinavian design can meet and thrive, bringing home new impulses, contacts and inspiration.Stockholm Furniture & Light Fair

The well-established Stockholm Furniture & Light Fair is the initiator behind Stockholm Design Week, which functions as a meeting place for the industry outside of the Fair’s halls. It is also a party for the design-lovers outside of the industry, since many of the exhibitions are open to the general public.

Over the course of the week, the Furniture & Light Fair is full to bursting point with the latest innovations within interior design and lighting for both homes and public spaces. New products, new materials, new knowledge, new trends and new environmental and technological solutions are displayed in a both informative and inspirational manner.

Over 40 000 people visited the fair in 2017 from over 60 countries. The fair had press coverage from over a 1100 journalist and over 300 of them were international journalists. Stockholm Furniture & Light Fair is truly an international event with visitors from the whole world.

This year, a diverse speaker series will further enrich the Furniture & Light Fair’s varied programming. Several dozen local and international figures will deliver presentations throughout the week, with a list of speakers now published on the fair’s website, along with the full event program, and a list of this year’s exhibitors. Stockholm Design Week will be staged in various locations in the city centre of Stockholm.
