figure3 welcomes three new directors and retail studio lead
figure3 Interior Design has today announced the appointments of Jillian Warren, Monique Jahn and Susan Jefferson to directors within the corporate workplace division as a result of significant growth. Mardi Najafi sees his role change to Studio Director for the retail division.
Jillian Warren joins from a leading design firm where she managed a team of 20 and the full complement of studio projects, including award-winning work for Munich Re. Prior to that she worked for an international architecture practice developing the Ontario workplace practice into a new revenue stream for the firm. She has earned a reputation for delivering outstanding client specific solutions with adherence to tight deadlines and constrained budgets.
Monique Jahn joins from a boutique firm where she oversaw complex, multi stakeholder government projects. A previous role at a global design and consultancy firm saw her play a key role on the CIBC account. Here she led research and discovery, identified and delivered project efficiencies, and developed new workplace standards including leading in-person training for all relevant staff. Under Jahn’s leadership, costs per branch were reduced by $80,000 on average.
Susan Jefferson’s commitment and demonstrated expertise at client management see her promoted from Senior Team Leader to Director. Most recently, Jefferson lead the completion of OMERS Canadian headquarters. Under her stewardship, the 400,000+ sf consolidation and relocation project was delivered on time and under budget.
Mardi Najafi’s skill at pairing brilliant creative ideation with strong team leadership see him promoted from Senior Team Leader to Studio Director of the retail division. Under Najafi’s leadership, the team produced the multi-award winning design for Penguin Shop, the first foray the publisher Penguin Random House has made into a permanent retail space.
Announcing the new appointees and the promotions, Suzanne Bettencourt, principal, figure3, said: “These new appointments help us to make important changes on two fronts; it strengthens an already solid base allowing us to take on even more complex, large-scale projects. And, perhaps more importantly, provides a greater level of support, guidance and mentorship for our growing studio of designers.”
